Your child will change the world.
That’s why we’re here.
We all know that this world can be better. We see it in our kids—their openness, their compassion, their sense of justice.
We started Wow & Flutterville 10 years ago because we believe that by nurturing kindness, curiosity, and inclusion, by focusing on service, love, and peacemaking, your children can make the world better than how they found it.
Most of all it’s fun
Children don’t learn by following a strict schedule or being confined by a lot of rules. At Wow & Flutterville, play is the first rule and compassion is our guide. Following a Waldorf-inspired model, our teachers provide safe, intentional, loving spaces where children can follow their inspirations and deepen their friendships. In every classroom your child will spend the day exploring, creating, and growing in their own unique ways.
What’s in a day?
Mornings (8:00am-12pm)
Children are most energetic in the morning and are eager for play, music, and stories. We let the natural rhythms of children guide our day, but create structure so that they are sure not to miss the important stuff—potty time, snacks, and planned activities. We also serve organic food with vegetarian options at our NE location.
Rhythm:
We welcome our friends and teachers
Free play!
We gather for morning circle—an opportunity to sing, share, and learn together
Potty time!
Snack!
Studio—a time for more guided activities such as baking, painting, music, language learning, and more
Outside time
Afternoons (12pm-5:00pm)
After our midday meal, our rhythm slows. The afternoon brings naps and rest time, then a refreshing snack and opportunities for a lot of different kinds of self-directed play.

Somewhere between a wow and a flutter is the melody of a child.
It’s a rhythm. You can hear in a mother’s heartbeat and you can see it from wake into slumber. You can hear it in a shaking rattle and you can see it through orange mornings and a cold purple sky. You can hear it in the songs out of key, and you can see it when green leaves once again hide the sun.
Somewhere between a wow and a flutter is a rhythm to teach children.
When you want compassion, I’ll provide compassion. I’ll feel your compassion. When you want gratitude, I’ll provide gratitude. I’ll receive your gratitude. When you want an open mind, I’ll provide an open mind. I’ll see your open mind.
Somewhere here between a wow and a flutter is a harmony for a grown up.
