Magnolia Room
Childcare for ages 6-weeks to 1-year-old.
The world is so new and amazing to a baby.
In the first year of life, infants begin to understand who they are and how they relate to the world—whether objects truly disappear when they close their eyes and who those toes belong to. They learn how to roll over, sit up, and communicate. They take their first steps toward becoming themselves.
The fun is just beginning
A cozy space to explore and learn
When you step into the Magnolia Room you’re instantly greeted with smiles and a warm feeling that stays with you throughout the day. The space is surprisingly calm, even when a child is crying for a bottle or a diaper change. The teachers almost always have a baby in their arms, rocking and chatting with them like old friends. And both children and teachers spend plenty of time on the floor rocking, rolling, scooting, crawling, and even walking.
Each day follows the natural rhythms of your child. We go on walks around the neighborhood in our big stroller, smiling and waving at our neighbors. At circle time, teachers and children spread out on the rug to sing and make noise. When a baby is hungry, we feed them. When they’re sleepy, we put them down for a nap. Our teachers work hard to create a space where children get what they need so that they can learn and grow and begin to live in harmony with the world.
