About Wow and Flutterville Playgardens
We are a Reggio Emilia and Waldorf-inspired Playgarden caring for children from 6 weeks to 6 years old. Our environments are warm, creative, and deeply relational.
From the very start, we’ve done things differently. Our team of skilled Teachers and Directors has created a space where childhood is honored and learning grows naturally through play, connection, and care.
Our Philosophy
We believe in agency, FreePlay, and belonging. Our environments feel like a second home: nurturing, creative, and alive with possibility.
By blending indoor and outdoor learning, we foster curiosity and kindness in each friend who joins us. We meet children where they are, support their interests, and celebrate their unique journey.

Our Rooms
Magnolia Room
(6 weeks – 1 year)
In this calm and cozy environment, infants begin to discover themselves and their surroundings—from rolling over and sitting up to recognizing that objects continue to exist out of sight.
Highlights:
- Warm, rhythm-led days that follow each child’s individual needs.
- Plenty of floor time for rocking, rolling, crawling, scooting, and early walking.
- Stroller walks around the neighborhood, circle songs, and gentle sensory play.
- Teachers constantly nearby—rocking, talking, and building trust with each friend.
Oak Room
(1 – 2 years)
Toddlers in Oak are on the move and eager to express themselves. They thrive with space to explore, toys and books that spark imagination, and opportunities to say “by myself”.
Highlights:
- A lively, energetic atmosphere where young friends build, dance, read, and express ideas.
- Balanced rhythm: open play, studio time, group meals, and naptime woven together.
- Beginning toileting exploration—each child decides when to try, and every milestone is celebrated.
Cedar Room
(2 – 3 years)
In the Cedar Room, children deepen their curiosity and empathy as they explore new concepts, build friendships, and communicate more complex emotions.
Highlights:
- Focused art, cooking, nature, and group projects that require attention and collaboration.
- Storytelling through books, songs, and puppet shows gives children tools to process feelings and relationships.
- Introduction to restorative justice—children learn to repair harm and solve conflicts together, fostering compassion and community responsibility.
Willow Room
(3 – 5 years, Preschool)
Preschoolers in Willow are creative storytellers and budding mentors. They connect ideas, people, and projects with growing independence and imaginative flair.
Highlights:
- Daily rhythms balance structure with spontaneity—circle, exploration, creation, and time with friends.
- Children often teach and support peers, sharing knowledge and guiding newer friends.
- Projects and play tap into a child’s creativity while supporting early literacy, emotional skills, and readiness for kindergarten.
